Samantha and Hunter love to visit North Carolina's Lake Norman, so when they had the chance to pick the perfect spot for their engagement photos, there was no question where it would happen. With the breeze floating off the water and the sun shining high above, the couple were able to celebrate their love with the help of Amanda Somerville Photography.

With the fall colors just starting to show, Samantha and Hunter looked cool and casual. She chose a striped blouse, plum skirt and brown riding boots. Hunter kept it simple with a pullover, dark jeans and brown shoes.

The photographer captured many enchanting photos of Samantha’s ring, including this shot where her hand is casually placed on Hunter’s arm.

Holding hands, they walk from the pebble-strewn shore to the dock. And the perfect shot came when they sat down at the end, hanging their feet over the side.

After a few photos sitting down, they get back up and continue their way around the lake. They share a kiss on a quiet road with a myriad of colors behind them.

The photographer closes out the session with up-close shots of Samantha's gorgeous engagement ring.
