Maysville NC Wedding Inspiration.

Stephanie Watson and Melissa Blythe created this colorful styled shoot at Maysville, N.C.’s Palo Alto Plantation. With its heirloom-quality appearance, the venue serves as the perfect charming canvas. Its white-washed appearance and abundant greenery only amplify the colorful blooms – and the bride’s lipstick!

The color palette is exhibited first through the bride’s bouquet – a feminine collection of peonies and roses teeming with light pink and dark red – and matching ribbons. The flowers are a cohesive design choice carried throughout the entire look of the shoot.

And a sapphire engagement ring is a unique bauble suitable for this bride’s distinct style.

An elegant lounge area is presented with an ornate high-back sofa, a decorative folding screen, and crawling greenery and roses.

The bride dons a simple, flowing gown but it’s her statement accessory that catches the eye. A sheer lace-hemmed capelet adds a touch of softness and channels the antique quality of the venue.

In front of a garden gate, the team uses a powder blue sofa to create an outdoor sitting area.

The bride’s hair is gathered in an updo and her signature red lips match the wedding aesthetic.

On the lawn, a small head table is set for the bride and her groom. Antique chairs are placed next to a wooden table covered with a lace runner – a contrast of rustic and regal tempered with assorted greenery.

And at the front of the plantation, where the fountain trickles and the Southern ambiance shines, all who enter this lovely event are greeted with a picture-perfect wreath on the front door.

This shoot incorporates a few key concepts to create a wedding vision: a feminine color palette, ornate furniture and distinct bridal style. All of these elements are wrapped up with elegance and refinement, channeling the appeal of the Palo Alto in one sweet Southern soirée.
