Melanie and Derek are such a sweet, fun-loving couple. Their beautiful wedding took place in Mount Pleasant at the ever beautiful, Carolina Country Weddings. Melanie and her family transformed this place into evergreen elegance with a rustic touch and it was so beautiful. Melanie was one of those brides who paid keen attention to detail and believed in having sentimental pieces at her wedding. The knitted pieces on each table at the reception were handmade by her great grandmother and her champagne glasses were her parents glasses when they got married. How sweet!
Melanie and Derek met in Atlanta, GA at a Mumford and Sons Concert. Melanie traveled from Charlotte and Derek from Nashville, TN. Not long after that concert did they start dating. Long distance was tough as it would be for anyone but before they knew it, Derek moved to Charlotte to be closer to Melanie! 7 years of pure bliss later, they then tied the knot on May 5, 2018 in front of their closest friends and family.
