Yesterday Spaces Wedding - Leicester, NC.
Karmen, a wedding photographer, and Justin, a realtor, got married in Asheville NC at Yesterday Spaces. Karmen got ready for the big day in a 100 year old farm house on property. The night before she told me how she wanted one detail photo taken with her grandfathers vintage film camera (the one that got her started in photography) with her grandmothers pearl necklace that she was going to wear. The morning of the wedding while I was taking the detail photos, I heard Karmen call me into the kitchen where she had a huge smile on her face and she was holding up a vintage Rolleiflex camera that Justin surprised her with! I still took her requested photo but I really wanted to incorporate her “old” vintage camera with her “new” vintage camera. One of her other details that I adored was her gorgeous bouquet! All of us girls were all drooling over it!
The ceremony took place under a tree with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. They decided to have their bridal party seated for the entire ceremony, had a friend officiate, and they mixed wine together and drank it before they were whisked away as husband and wife for 15 minutes of alone time…the only time they got to spend completely alone the whole day!
Their reception details were a mix of succulents, vintage cameras and old gears. The best part though was they cut their wedding cake with a saw from Ace Hardware (Justins family owns one).
